Jan van Gils
I am an engineer by qualification and after encountering anthroposophy at the age of 24, I decided to become a teacher at a Waldorf school for Maths and Physics. I studied Anthroposophy and phenomenology during my early years as a teacher, besides crafts, astronomy and projective geometry. I was the director of the Research Institute Louis Bolk and of the Waldorf school in Rotterdam, for many years and studied philosophy at the Erasmus University, in Rotterdam. This subject is now an intrinsic part of the Waldorf curriculum, in some schools in Holland. I am presently a part-time teacher for physics and philosophy, at the school in Den Haag and Rotterdam. I have also written two books about physics for Steiner teachers - https://elbd.sites.uu.nl/2017/08/03/leerplanwerkboeken-natuurkunde-voor-het-vrijeschoolonderwijs/
