Agnes Balassa has been an Upper School teacher at the Pesthidegkút Waldorf School (Budapest, Hungary) for more than 25 years, where she taught history, literature and social sciences. She has been involved in several fields of education such as being guardian of upper school classes, the chair of the college of teachers, mentoring colleagues and incharge of school conflict resolution. She has developed numerous innovative school projects in Hungary and abroad. She is a leading person and teacher in the Waldorf Teacher Training in Hungary, runs courses at the Kassel International Refresher Course for Waldorf Teachers, gives lectures and workshops for Waldorf schools in Hungary, in Italy, in Croatia and in Kenya. Her recent work is to help strengthen Waldorf upper school initiatives. Agnes last year lived in Kenya and supported the Nairobi Waldorf School as a high school mentor, recently moved to Delhi, where she spends most of the year and builds connections to Waldorf schools in India.
