Too short wished it was longer. Opened new dimensions. Was an overwhelming experience.
Understanding of 12 senses deepened, as well as the practice of Anthroposophy, through Eurythmy. Education & Health workshop helped in understanding myself and working out of Anthroposophy. Loved meeting so many people from a different country with similar questions in Steiner schools. Questions were answered with great depth and wisdom. Leanne was excellent – All Kindergarten topics were explained well. To see Alan in action was to see the philosophy and curriculum come to life. Dr. Lakshmi’s talk is always a divine message. Morning lectures were a wonderful way to highlight the entire spectrum. All themes related to one another. Brilliant, I want to come back to India! Thank you Abhaya School, organisers & presenters. Excellent food. Quantity could be increased a bit. Looking forward to the next year's conference. David was wonderful - More charcoal painting. I will leave with an elevated feeling from new insights.Taken care by Abhaya very well. Great venue. My heartfelt gratitude. Excellent workshop choices - could not be in two places at the same time! Open and caring hosts, well structured program. Great presenters. Maths and Geometry was wonderful . Can we have algebra too! Amazing transformation in the educational process. Peter simply bowled us over with the phenomenological approach to science. Well organised, planned and enriching conference - Keep doing it - I will be there always. I have a memory that I can treasure! Will be there again. Wonderful experience! Daycare made it possible for me to attend. The other participants were wonderful too! Simply superb. Wish it could have gone on for 10 -15 days. By the time we got into it , we had to leave! Food was amazingly delicious and nutritious! The biography workshop by Tania was an eye opener -The session was very informative and structured which helped us understand the content easily. |
Suggestions
More on consciousness of child connected to the workshops of our choice.
A workshop on working together – The Role of the college of teachers, The inner work of the teacher. Venue near the city would be good, if possible one where participants can be accommodated. Songs and music in Kindergarten workshops could be included along with Class 1 readiness. Something on free play? Optional tea at 4.30Pm for those who need it. Missed the bus once - Buses should leave 10/15 minutes after closing of the day. Math/Drawing workshops needs to be more detailed and informative, possibly by reducing the scope and without a repetition of previous year's conference content. KG content/delivery was great but could also address the Indian context. Mentor to gently steer discussions away from personal issues, to a more general child developmental level. Form drawing workshop needs more on the 'why' and 'what' is done in different classes. Needs to be more focused. Sharing experiences/ discussions cut the charcoal drawing time. Can we have a workshop on the English curriculum - Classes 1-5? Time constraint for the science workshops did not allow for topics to be elaborated or completed. Missed the reviews everyday ( like we had last year) to have a glimpse of the other workshops. Interactive open discussion every evening would be good. Biography and Clay was for beginners. Can a more advanced workshop be planned? Group discussion on the penultimate day not useful. Tania and Tom needed more time for their morning lecture. Cleaner toilets with paper, soaps, towels and dust bins. Food with more counters to avoid long queues. Maths for high school needed, with a workshop on handwork too. More focus on special education/ curative education and curative Eurythmy for KG - Primary classes. Workshop solely on Adolescents and Counselling. A program from 8.30 - 3.30 PM would be better. If one has two presenters in a day it is not possible to do the inner work required by both at night. Not having multiple choices is good. Would be good to have a workshop that covers the woodwork curriculum. |
